Maggie Shannon~ residential design & consulting is a residential design studio located on the outskirts of Atlanta in the City of Smyrna. The studio's primary focus is on the design of residential projects. Our residential work encompasses renovations, additions, custom homes + design consulting to see what is possible for your home.

Our specialty is working closely with our clients to improve their home during times of transition and growth, whether it is for the birth of a baby, the doors of your home opening up to an in law, or siblings deciding to live together. We are here to listen, and to create solutions to make your house become your home for each phase of your life. With over 20+ years of residential design experience we know how to make the transition both fun and successful for each of our clients.

Because I love solving design problems and from there creating solutions for a better living space, I decided to apply and go to Georgia Tech where I earned my Masters Degree in Architecture. My love for solutions and great design then led me to open up the doors to my own residential design studio in 2005. During this year I not only left my commercial architecture job in exchange for beginning my own studio, but I also married my childhood sweetheart and became pregnant with our first child. To me this year is symbolic and absolutely in tune with what I see for my studio & my clients: a wonderful and lasting relationship that is filled with birth and life and growth. & in turn I strive to create a space that will echo all the positive needs and wants of each of my clients. 

Now, as a mother to two beautiful children, two cute mutts, Charlie & Leo + a bearded dragon, having aging parents and many siblings, nieces & nephews I have a keen perspective on what my client’s needs are for their growing lives and their growing home.
